“You’ve Got Mail” with Spellbinders April Clubs

Don’t you just love getting fun mail? This month’s Clubs at Spellbinders really adds to the fun!

Card One

This card uses the Stencil of the Month, the Wax Seal of the Month, and Clear Stamp and Die of the month. Colors used were teal and Lisa Horton metallic ink. The card front is popped up with foam tape for dimension. On a plain piece of white cardstock I rubbed the Lisa Horton ink pad directly to paper to bring out the purple shine. This was also done for the shadow of the sentiment.

Card Two

This is a Shaker Card! I used the Clear Stamp and Die set of the Month. First I stamped all the images, then cut out a few. The key getting the depressed cutouts in the right spot is to lay it all flat and then glue down the images you want depressed. I added a piece of acetate on the back of the front then put two layers of foam tape along all edges. From my stash I added some colored sequins. Then carefully added the card front over the background matching holes with the depressed pieces. I glued it to the card base, added the sentiment and a few of the sequins to tie it all together.

Card Three and Four

These two cards feature the Glimmer of the Month – one done with black foil and one with matte gold foil. The sentiment on the black and white one is also from the Glimmer of the month. The sentiment on the gold is from the Thanks Enclosed Sentiments die set. See the last card for the postage stamp added on the black and white card.

Card Five

This card features the Embossing Folder of the Month and the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month. The yellow and teal pieces were embossed using the Embossing Folder of the Month. For the “stamps” I used the 3D Embossing folder on white cardstock. Then on the backside colored the images with alcohol markers. To create the black I took Altenew Obsidian ink and pulled it over the complete cardstock. This is called the BlackOut method. It’s lots of fun to color quickly and then highlight all the raised edges with the black ink. I then cut the pieces apart using one on card Four and three more on this card. The sentiment is from the Clear Stamp of the Month and it’s shadow is just hand drawn and fussy cut to match the sentiment as closely as possible.
