Classic and Elegant Valentine Cards –Black, Gold, and White

Do you like sappy love cards for Valentine’s Day? Or do you prefer funny ones? Or how about these classic cards for either friend or lover?

This first one is so so elegant! Using the Spellbinders Embossing Folder of the Month of December, 2024 on vellum creates a stunning look. It features a black overlay created with the Glimmer of the Month plate. There is matte gold foil on the black cardstock for the flowers and the sentiment.

For this second card, the same matte gold foil was used with the Glimmer machine only this time on white cardstock. The die was used to cut the edge of the flowers and leaves. To create a bit of novelty I cut a piece of gold glitter paper to 3.75″ by 5.5″. I glued it onto the back of the foiled flowers. This makes the actual front of the card narrower than the back. The sentiment is also from the Glimmer of the Month which I lined with black to make it stand out. A few enamel dots were added for accent.

I hope you like these cards. They went together easily and yet they make a statement.
