Do you like to garden? Do you like to visit beautiful gardens? Altenew has a multitude of beautiful flower stamps and dies and this release gives you a GORGEOUS flower with the Dazzling Dahlia Stamp, Die and Stencil. Dahlia come in lots of different colors, shades, and petal counts. You can plant them as just plants but also from bulbs. I would love to have a garden full of them to brighten my yard! You can google them for a wide variety of colorings. For my Dahlias here I started with pale shades and went to deeper colors on the tips. I stamped the two flowers in Altenew Firebrick as I wanted to use that for the deepest color. The center was blended with Warm Sunshine and Frosty Pink for the middle. On the yellow I added Citrus Burst on outside, Frosty Pink for middle and the center of Sunray. These were free blended…not using the stencil as many dahlias vary. For the leaves here I used the Altenew Hanging Garden Die (see my post from Aug 27, 2020 for more info on this). The butterfly is also a stamp with the Dazzling Dahlia set. I had in my stash some blues and green alcohol ink over Sparkle Yupo paper so I just die cut an area that would look good as a butterfly and used Altenew Obsidian ink for the outline.

The greeting is from the One-Go Birthday Greetings stamp and die set.

I made several dahlias at once as described above. For this card I took a deep red card stock and embossed it with the Angled Mosaic 3d embossing folder. I sprinkled some metallic gold paint on this then added the flowers and leaves in the corners. Then sprinkled the whole thing with white paint and added the Happy Birthday flag from the One-Go Birthday Greeting die set.

After I tended to my Dahlias in my garden I switched to more delicate wildflowers with the Arch Flowers Stamp, Die and Stencil set. The larger flowers are colored with Velvet and Firebrick ink. All centers are colored with Paper Bag ink. The small yellow flowers were colored with Chamomile ink and the tiny three button buds are colored in Coral Berry.

For this little Wildflower Garden Add on stamp I really didn’t know what to do. So I just took black ink on the main stem and flower on scrap paper to see what it looked like. OOOH! I was surprised how much I really liked just the black and white look. Thus this card was really easy. A trio of flowers with an extra stem set against the white cardstock became very striking. Again, another greeting from the One-Go Birthday Greetings set and finished off with some white sequins. The greeting is from the One-Go Birthday Greetings stamp and die set.

Thanks for visiting today. Let me know what you would do with any of these stamps, dies, stencils. If you make something, please tag me @pennypynnonen. I’d love to see your creations, too.
