Folded with Care

Thank you for joining me today as I join my fellow Altenew Educators in creating and sharing our cards.  If you are following along you got here from the talented Neha Aggarwal.

 We are all looking for Clean and Simple this time around.  By definition that means there is a large amount of “white” space on the card…it could be a color but the idea is that there is a focal point without a lot of embellishments.  Here is my selection:

This gorgeous die was perfect for what I was looking for with its delicate nature and the ability to stand alone on the card.  Its name is the Rose Queen Die.  The outline seen above is dainty and yet majestic.  This particular die cuts an outline and also the inside pieces of the flower. This could be a “twofer” card if you can save all the pieces. 

I had in my stash a piece of yupo paper already alcohol inked with different shades of blue.  I lined the back of this with some of an Altenew double-sided adhesive sheet since the outline would be so delicate.  Once this was burnished onto the yupo paper I die cut it being careful to keep all the pieces of the insert and the outline.  I carefully took the outline of the die and peeled off the adhesive backing, attaching it to the card front.  Once done I cut the card front down to 3.75” x 5”.  Using foam tape, I popped that up on an A2 card base.  The sentiment is from the Altenew Friends Forever Stamp set, embossed with Altenew Antique Gold.  To finish it off, I added just a bit of metallic thread tied in a bow.
