“Why make Christmas cards now?” my grandson asked. I told him how much fun it is to play with sets like this ahead of when they are wanted or needed. Makes creating more fun than a “have to do it now” job.

The Stitching Die of the Month is stunning! Often I uses stitching dies without the stitching but this one called for the whole process. Using some DMC metallic thread it was easy to do, especially breaking it down in a few blocks at a time. TIP: This helps to keep the thread from tangling and makes for a smoother end result. I also die cut the card base by overlapping the die above the fold. This way the front and back were still attached. I cut another piece of white glitter paper behind and popped up the teal card front. This helped the glitter to show and sparkle.

The Small Die of the Month has such cute figures…make a handle and you have a Christmas mug. The background used the 3D Embossing folder of the Month on some brown reflecting paper with my Santa mug topped in whipped cream and steam coming out of his head (vellum). Ready for your cup?

Next came the Stencil of the Month and Large Die of the Month. Two layers of the stencil were used for the background. The large die cuts create a warm set of mitten hands holding warm cocoa. Can’t you just feel the warmth on a cold winter day?

The Glimmer Set of the Month creates wonderful snowflakes. I didn’t know how it would look with red glimmer foil over red paper but I really like the results. Silver glitter snowflakes popped up on top make for an easy, quick card. The second card with green foil and red snowflakes shows traditional Christmas colors.

This was a fun card to do…I used a lot of left over pieces on this 5×7 card. The background is the Embossing Folder of the Month on Silver metallic paper. I mounted it on a green background by offsetting it slightly, adding strips of the foiled red paper to make a partial frame. Then I cut out red and green glitter snowflakes and used an extra silver snowflake to embellish the card front. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from a past glimmer of the month kit.
These were fun cards to make and came together quickly. Mixing and matching with Club kits is so easy. I like to challenge myself to see how can I make it different than other people. Clubs are available from the 6th of the month to the 27th. Get started now with your Christmas cards!
