When Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn know just what you need!

My daughter is in her last year of study for her Masters in Fine Arts at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.  At the beginning of March family members had the privilege of going to her Thesis show entitled “Echoes of Then / Now”.  She did a fantastic job of weaving in details of past family life to her current life and sure made Mom proud.

Hero Arts then came out with their My Monthy Hero kit (https://heroarts.com/collections/mmh-march-2022/products/mh0322-my-monthly-hero-kit-march-2022) “Take a trip to the art museum with the March My Monthly Hero release.”  Along with this are several add-ons – this one I just HAD to have:  Art Meowseum Bundle.  What could be better for an artist who has two and loves cats!

Emma and Bug

In order to display my stamps as an exhibit would be, I combined this set with Lawn Fawn’s Flippin’ Awesome interactive die set.  It was such a good way to put a picture on each of 4 tabs and pull the tab to show my own art exhibit on my card!  I stamped  my pictures with Simon Says Intense black ink and colored them with my Altenew Artist Markers.  I did bring up pictures of the original paintings to use as a guide to color these…mostly to make them as recognizable as possible.

I had in my stash some powdered shimmer water coloring already done that I used on the insides of the tabs and for the card background.  It seemed to fit the theme.

I had lots of fun assembling the Flippin’ Awesome assembly and adding my “meowsterpieces” to the tabs.  Then I created the gift card holder and inserted a check for her birthday.

Here’s a quick video of the working piece.

It’s so much fun to have dies and stamps that can be taylored to an individual so well! This was a great combination. She called to say she loved it…

I hope you do too!

Blessings, Penny
